How do you stop eyelash extensions from shedding?

This will keep your lashes in place and help remove any residue that may remain. Eyelash extensions can only last as long as the natural eyelash growth cycle lasts. Extensions aren't immune to eyelash loss, as they stick to your natural lashes and fall out with them. This means that you can expect your eyelash extensions to last 6 to 8 weeks at most (see below).

Oily skin types shed at a faster rate. We recommend cleaning your eyelids throughout the day to prevent oil from accumulating on the extensions. Hormonal imbalances, extreme stress, and the intake of antibiotics or immunosuppressants can also affect the eyelash growth cycle. Iron deficiency and lack of nutrients can lead to loss of eyelashes.

Thyroid disease is also known to cause poor eyelash retention. Extensions are lost due to the natural process of eyelash loss, which means that, just like natural lashes, extensions are lost in cycles. You should avoid placing synthetic eyelashes at this stage of the eyelashes, as they won't have much durability left, causing the extension lashes to fall out quickly. It's important to know that when you have a natural eyelash that falls out, your extension will accompany it.

For all of us, each individual eyelash is programmed to reach a certain length, fall out and then grow back, taking the extension with it. If you come in contact with the extensions, they will stay in and around the eyelashes and may cause them to come out. If an alarming number of eyelash extensions have fallen WITHOUT the natural eyelashes attached, it is very likely that this incident is related to the incorrect use of glue for eyelash extensions or poor aftercare by your customer.
